Back to School DAE

Sunday, August 11; 1 – 4 pm

The DAE Foundation invites Lowcountry students to a free Back to School event on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 1 – 4 pm at the St. Andrew’s Parks & Playground Basketball Gym at 1095 Playground Road in West Ashley. There will be free school supplies distributed to students to help fill their backpacks for the upcoming school year. Paisano’s Pizza is providing free pizza, and the DAE Foundation’s Jermel President will lead a basketball open-gym shoot around for attending students. A gently-used sporting equipment swap will be set up to help residents pass along their out-grown shoes, bats, gloves, balls, racquets, and more to students in need of new items.

The community is asked to donate school supplies and gently-used sporting equipment to contribute to the effort. Tax-deductible donations can be made at the following locations: Barrelli Barber, Coastal Creek Design during business hours, and drop offs can be made at St Andrew’s Gym on Playground Rd on June 2, June 9, and August 4 from 2 – 5 pm.
